Is the price shown per square foot or per box?
Both are shown. Flooring is sold by the full box. The current 7½-inch American White Oak collection covers 34.42 sq. ft. per box, and Shopify displays the calculated unit price per square foot.
What is the difference between Character and Select grade?
Character grade shows more natural movement, knots and mineral variation. Select grade has a cleaner, more uniform appearance with less visible variation.
What is Baltic birch plywood, and why does it matter?
VisOak's manufacturer materials describe Baltic birch plywood as a core construction feature in its engineered hardwood. The dense multi-ply birch structure is used for strength, consistent bonding and dimensional stability. VisOak also describes a multi-step moisture-control process for the plywood. Exact specifications can vary by collection, so manufacturer documentation controls for the specific product.

Can I order a sample first?
Yes, when samples are available. Use the Order Samples page to request the colors you are considering.
How much flooring should I order?
Start with measured project square footage and add an appropriate waste allowance. Straight-lay installations often use a lower allowance than patterned layouts. The HardwoodLA product calculator rounds up to full boxes.
How is flooring shipped?
Full flooring orders generally ship by freight or project-specific delivery. Freight is quoted separately based on quantity, destination and delivery conditions.
Do you work with contractors and designers?
Yes. HardwoodLA supports designers, contractors, builders, developers and showrooms through the Trade Program.
Can this flooring be installed over radiant heat?
The current 7½-inch American White Oak collection is listed as compatible with approved hydronic radiant-heat systems. Always follow the product-specific installation requirements.
What installation methods are supported?
The current collection is listed for nail, glue-down or floating installation, subject to site conditions and manufacturer instructions.
What if my shipment arrives damaged?
Inspect freight before signing whenever possible, note visible damage with the carrier, take photos and contact HardwoodLA promptly. Do not install material that appears damaged or incorrect.
