American White Oak engineered hardwood

American White Oak is one of HardwoodLA’s broadest flooring categories, with straight plank, pattern and click-lock options across multiple widths. The collection is useful for projects that want real oak grain with a wide range of finish directions from light and natural to deeper brown tones.

How to narrow the collection

Start with product color and plank width, then compare the available grade and technical specifications for the exact product. Wear layer, box coverage, finish and installation details can vary by construction and format.

Plank, herringbone, chevron and click-lock

Straight plank creates a continuous linear field. Herringbone uses rectangular pieces in a broken zigzag, while chevron forms aligned V-shaped points. Click-lock products use a different installation system and should be reviewed separately from glue-down or nail-down constructions.

American White Oak questions

Should I choose color or grade first?

Choose the general color direction first, then review grade because grade changes the amount of natural character and variation visible across the finished floor.

Can I compare products before ordering?

Yes. Use the product comparison and project calculator on HardwoodLA product pages, then confirm the finalist with a physical sample in the project lighting.
