European White Oak
European White Oak flooring is often selected for a refined, relatively calm appearance that works well with wide-plank and contemporary interiors. Depending on cut, grade and finish, the surface can range from clean and restrained to more character-rich.
American White Oak
American White Oak flooring has its own recognizable grain character and can work in modern, transitional or more traditional spaces. Finish and grade can dramatically change the final impression, so species should always be evaluated together with the actual product color.
Which is better for a wide-plank floor?

Does the same color look identical on both species?
No. Wood is a natural material, and grain, porosity and variation affect the way a finish reads. Two products with similar color names can still look different when applied to different species or grades.
How to choose
