HardwoodLA can arrange in-home or on-site flooring sample presentations for qualifying projects within approximately 100 miles of Los Angeles, by appointment. Start with your project ZIP code, approximate floor area and a shortlist of products. Availability and appointment details must be confirmed before a visit.

Why compare samples in the actual space?

A floor sample gives you a way to compare the surface, grain and color beside the finishes that will surround it. It is especially useful when coordinating oak with existing cabinets, tile or fireplace stone. Daylight and evening lighting can change your preference, so allow time to compare both where possible.

HardwoodLA is an online flooring store. The published mailing address is for correspondence; it is not a walk-in showroom. Please arrange sample service directly instead of traveling to the mailing address.

Step 1: Send the project details

  • Your name and preferred contact information.
  • The project ZIP code and approximate square footage.
  • Product names, colors or collection links you want to compare.
  • Your preferred plank width or pattern, if known.
  • Your target timeline and whether you are a homeowner, designer, contractor or builder.

You do not need to have made every design decision. If you are starting from scratch, the Flooring Quiz can help organize your preferences, and the Floor Visualizer can help narrow the visual direction.

Step 2: Confirm the sample arrangement

HardwoodLA will need to confirm which samples are available and whether an in-home or on-site presentation can be arranged for your project. Sample size, cost and shipping vary by product. Ask for any applicable sample or visit charges and the appointment details before confirming. A request does not automatically reserve a visit or guarantee that every color is available.

Step 3: Prepare a useful comparison area

Choose a clear area of the actual floor beside important fixed finishes. Have paint swatches, cabinet samples or furniture references ready. If a designer or installer is helping with the selection, share the shortlist with them so color and practical requirements can be considered together.

Compare samples flat on the floor, then move them between brighter and shaded parts of the room. Use our floor-color and lighting checklist to record your preferences.

Step 4: Move from a sample to a project quote

Once you have a preferred product, confirm its grade, dimensions and available specifications. Have your installer verify the final quantity, cut allowance and installation requirements. HardwoodLA can then review material pricing and delivery details using your selected product and project information.

A sample presentation supports product selection. It does not replace the installer's site evaluation or establish a fixed installation price. Our material budgeting guide explains how full-box quantities affect the order subtotal.

Can I request samples without arranging a visit?

Yes. Use the sample request page to ask about the products you are considering. HardwoodLA will confirm the available sample options and applicable terms. A small sample cannot show the full range of natural color and grain variation, so ask about broader product views when comparing grades.
