These Terms govern use of hardwoodla.com and transactions with HardwoodLA, operated by Pacific Modern Solutions.
Product Information
HardwoodLA makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate product names, photographs, dimensions, specifications, grades, box coverage, prices, installation information and warranty summaries. Manufacturer documentation controls where it conflicts with a website summary.
Natural Hardwood
Wood is a natural product. Color, grain, knots, mineral streaks, texture, shade and character vary from board to board. Website photographs and samples represent the general appearance of a product but cannot represent every board in a full order.
Character and Select Grades
Character Grade generally displays more natural movement, knots and mineral variation. Select Grade generally has a cleaner, more uniform appearance. Natural variation remains present in both grades.
Full-Carton Sales
Unless expressly stated otherwise, flooring is sold by the full carton. For the current 7½-inch American White Oak collection, one carton covers 34.42 square feet. Any displayed square-foot price is a unit-price calculation; the transaction quantity is based on full cartons.
Flooring Calculator and Measurements
Any HardwoodLA flooring calculator is an estimating tool only. Customers are responsible for confirming project measurements, waste allowance and final order quantity before purchase. Additional material is commonly needed for cuts, layout, waste and future repairs.
Pricing and Quotes
Prices and availability may change before an order is accepted. Project quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote. A quote does not reserve inventory unless HardwoodLA expressly confirms that inventory is reserved.
Order Acceptance and Payment
Submitting an order or payment request does not necessarily mean the order has been accepted. HardwoodLA may verify availability, price, payment, quantity, freight and delivery details before fulfillment. Orders may not be released until required payment has been received and verified.
Shipping and Delivery
Flooring freight is project-specific unless expressly included. Full flooring orders commonly ship by pallet or local delivery. Shipping and delivery are subject to the HardwoodLA Shipping & Freight Delivery Policy.
Installation
All flooring must be inspected before installation. The customer and installer are responsible for confirming the correct product, grade, quantity, visible condition, subfloor suitability, moisture conditions, acclimation, approved installation method and compliance with manufacturer instructions and applicable building requirements.
Independent Installers
Unless Pacific Modern Solutions or HardwoodLA separately contracts in writing to perform installation, installers, contractors and other tradespeople selected by the customer are independent from HardwoodLA. Customers are responsible for evaluating their qualifications, licensing and insurance where applicable.
Manufacturer Warranties
Manufacturer warranty documents govern manufacturer warranty coverage. HardwoodLA does not expand a manufacturer's warranty unless it expressly provides a separate written warranty.
Returns
Returns, exchanges and refunds are subject to the HardwoodLA Return & Refund Policy.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HardwoodLA and Pacific Modern Solutions are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from website use, delivery delays outside our reasonable control, installation scheduled before material is delivered and inspected, or installation of material with visible issues that reasonably should have been identified before installation. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, subject to applicable federal and mandatory consumer protection law.
Primary Service Area
HardwoodLA primarily serves the Los Angeles area and surrounding communities within approximately 100 miles. Product shipping may be available beyond this area on a project-specific basis.
