How to shop engineered hardwood flooring

HardwoodLA’s engineered hardwood catalog can be narrowed by species, plank width, installation pattern, product color and grade. Product pages then provide the technical information needed for quantity planning and final project selection.

Start with the visual direction

Choose the species and color family first, then compare width and pattern. For a calmer field, straight plank and wider boards can reduce the number of visible seams. Herringbone and chevron create more directional movement.

Then compare technical specifications

Review overall thickness, wear layer, box coverage, finish, construction and installation method when those specifications are available for the exact product. Use the project calculator to estimate boxes, but have the installer confirm the final allowance.

From online selection to project order

Use the Floor Visualizer for design direction, compare up to three products, order physical samples, then request project pricing after the preferred material and approximate square footage are known.
